IT Craft is looking for an experienced Senior Citrix System Engineer to help rebuild and modernize a customer’s virtual application and desktop infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and configure the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment on Windows Server;
- Deploy XenServer hosts and configure resource pools as part of an infrastructure replacement;
- Migrate existing virtual workloads as part of the transition to the new infrastructure;
- Migrate existing user profiles to a container-based solution, such as FSLogix;
- Assess and optimize the existing server configuration;
- Support migration, cutover, troubleshooting and post-migration stabilization.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD);
- Practical experience installing and configuring Citrix XenServer / Citrix Hypervisor hosts and resource pools;
- Experience migrating virtualized environments and workloads;
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments;
- Familiarity with VMware infrastructure;
- Practical experience with user profile management, including container-based solutions such as FSLogix;
- Strong troubleshooting skills;
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and/or Machine Creation Services (MCS);
- PowerShell scripting skills.
